Anushka Sharma is a Bollywood actress and producer. She is amongst the highest-paid actresses, and has been awarded numerous awards for her acting. Anushka Sharma's parents are Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka Sharma's father was a retired colonel. and her mother works as a housewife. Karnesh Sharma, Anushka's elder brother, served as an Merchant Navy officer and is currently a movie producer. Anushka has graduated from Army School Bangalore. Anushka sharma began her film career in 2008, with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Anushka Sharma took her time to study and was able to not attempt the test on her own. Later on she was signed for three films under Yash Raj Films banner. She was the wife of a young man of an older man in the movie (the exact same character that Shah Rukh Khan played). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. In 2010 Anushka Sharma appeared in the movie 'Badmash Company' alongside Shahid Kapoor Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das and Meiyang Chang. The film received mixed praises. Anushka was in a movie named Band Baaja Baaraat, starring Ranveer in which she portrayed a Punjabi-American girl of middle class, who establishes her wedding planning business. The movie received a great reception and was later a sleeper. With Band Baaja Baaraat Anushka's three-film deal under the Yash Raj Films banner was completed.
